Winding Creek starts on Thursday! 3 bands will be playing Thursday night on the stage followed with a jam at the Log Cabin! Many pickers jammed at the Log Cabin with the bands last year and had a great time! Come and join in on the fun this year!

Jam & Pick at your campsite, cabin, blacksmith shop or small stage that over looks the valley!





Camping is Free and we have lots of room for RV's and shaded tent camping near the stage! We look forward to seeing you this year. Wed. or Thurs. set up is fine but the Thurs., Fri., Sat. & Sun. ticket cost must be paid if you set up early. (Primitive Camping - no hook ups - water is available) (Generators are welcome! Quiet generators near the front camp area and campers with loud generators will be in the tree line farthest from stage area.)
Pets are allowed if your are camping! "See pet rules on camping page"

Nothin' Fancy

 Nothin' Fancy formed as a bluegrass band in 1994. Since then they have grown in popularity, released 11 full length albums, and continue to perform at festival across the USA and international engagements! Their audiences have gathered at venues such as the Ryman Auditorium, Nashville TN, the Lincoln Center in New York City,and the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. They have been seen in Dollywood, and are a regular fixture at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO where promoter/coordinator D.A. Callaway describd Nothin' Fancy as "the act that America needs to see". It's great to have Nothin' Fancy back to Winding Creek for 2018!

Little Roy and Lizzy are crowd pleasers! Little Roy is one crazy talented musician....he has won awards as best entertainer and banjo player. His energy is contagius and audiences love him! Lizzy is the sane one and can play any instrument handed to her. Her voice is extraordinary and she is one of the youngest fiddle players inducted into "America's Old Time Fiddlers's Country Hall of Fame". Her most recent album "Blueberry Pie" has ranked as high as #2 on the Billboard's Bluegrass Charts. Join Bob and Duane and the Winding Creek family to welcome this legendary band to Winding Creek 2018!

Branded Bluegrass have been making great strides! Winding Creek is honored to call them our hometown band and friends! Their new CD "Most Welcome" is a huge success! With their booking increase, Duane & Bob are glad they have kept Winding Creek weekend open. Come out and give your ears some great pleasure on Friday and Saturday as they grace the stage!

Edgar Loudermilk Band

On the trail on the highly successful A&L album, Edgar has struck out on his own with a solo project that he is very excited about. He is working with a new band called Edgar Loudermilk Band, featuring Jeff Autry. Although the band name may be new, all of the members have played together for quite some time and have super chemistry and stage dynamics. Edgar's former A&L bandmates, Jeff Autry (featured guitar player), Glen Crain (dobro) and Zack Autry (mandolin), complete his current band. They have recorded Edgar's album, titled "Georgia Maple" along with banjo picker, Chris Wade and have been booked solid all over the United States and Canada.

Phillip and his Great Uncle Grandpa Jones!

Phillip Steinmetz (lead vocals, clawhammer banjo & guitar) was to taught to play the clawhammer banjo at the age of eleven by his Great Uncle, Grandpa Jones, of Hee Haw and Grand Old Opry Fame.  Phillip is a three time National Old Time Banjo Champion. Phillip is also a regular on RFD-TV's the Cumberland Highlander Show.  Phillip will be joined at Winding Creek with his lovely wife, Misty and the Sunny Tennesseans. Please come and give them a Big Winding Creek Welcome!


Mountain Laurel

Mountain Laurel's home base is Noblesville Indiana. This is a fine group of fellows who have a compassion for Bluegrass music! The are members of the White River Folk and Bluegrass out of Anderson Indiana and we are thrilled to have them join us at Winding Creek. Come out Thursday night and enjoy this fine band!

Bahler's "Golden Age" Band

Hailing from the rural farmland near Bennetts Switch, Indiana, north of Kokomo. The Bahler Family Band plays yearly at the Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering at Battleground, just north of Lafayette, which takes place in June. Winding Creek is honored to have their enjoyable string and voice harmony.   

Fairview Baptist Cowboy Church

Cowboy Church band is headed up by Jim Rittenhouse.  Cowboy church is on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Fairview Baptist Church on Vaile Ave., behind Wal-Mart in Kokomo Indiana. The band has been together over 15 years and has a great time together. Pastor Steve Sherwood is a ventriloquist and adds a flare of humor every month along with the other dummies in the band. Come and join us each month for some fun Christian entertainment.....

Alec Hurtubise


Alec loves bluegrass music and has dedicated much time to learning songs from the past by Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe. Click on Alec's picture above and watch a short video from 2012 on how his love for bluegrass got started.  

Medicinal Bluegrass Band

Medicinal Bluegrass Band calls Greentown, Indiana home base. Duane used to play in this band until his move to Florida and we are glad to be friends with Debbie, John, Paul, Jeff and Bob. Come out and support this local band on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Who knows perhaps Duane will join them for a fun reunion at Winding Creek!

Froggy Mountain Brothers from Tahiti

Laurent Holliger and Robin Holliger are from Tahiti and came to Winding Creek last year! We enjoyed them and they are passing through the states again spreading their music. They will be our special guest for the Saturday dinner break at 5pm. Duane & I hope you come out to enjoy their music.
